Aly Raisman has seen her parents the same way we all have — online

RIO DE JANEIRO — Aly Raisman has seen her parents the same way the rest of the world has — on the Internet.
After helping the Americans to team gold on Tuesday, the veteran gymnast joked about a video of her parents watching her routines making the rounds online.
In it, Rick and Lynn Raisman tensely watch their daughter, squirming in their seats almost as if on a roller coaster.
“The only time I see them is that video that’s literally everywhere. I can’t believe it’s literally everywhere,” said Raisman, who hasn’t seen her parents in a couple of weeks. “People are texting me more about my parents than about me.”

That includes about Rick Raisman’s shirts, which some have noticed look familiar.
“It’s so funny,” says Aly Raisman. “I’ve been making my dad wear the same shirts that he wore in London for each competition because they’re good luck.”
She’s hoping for a little more with the all-around competition on Thursday. After that, she’ll finally get to see her parents — and in person.
